The Alabama Class of 2024 recruiting class was finalized last Wednesday as the Crimson Tide signed three players on National Signing Date. New head coach Kalen DeBoer saw wide receiver Ryan Williams, edge rusher Noah Carter and linebacker Quinton "QB" Reese all put pen to paper as they're set to join the Alabama program.

It was a wild few months for Reese, the Alabama 5A lineman of the year. He's been committed to the Crimson Tide since September, but like so many others in his class it was to play for a different head coach.

"It was really crazy, just knowing Coach Saban left, because nobody really expected Coach Saban to leave," said Reese to The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral. "But just getting to know the coaching staff and went I went on my OV and being able to get closer to them and starting to build a bond with them, I really like the coaching staff a lot. That's what made me stay committed to Alabama."

Reese detailed the path from Ramsay High School in Birmingham to earning an Alabama scholarship. Despite measuring at 6-foot, 210-pounds he tallied 167 tackles for the Ramsay Rams while leading them to the Class 5A State Championship game as a senior.

"It was amazing. I really had a great season with my teammates, with my coaches. I really wanted to finish it out with a win. Even though we didn't win, everybody doesn't make it to the state championship, and everybody doesn't get to play at the school they're going to play at. So I was just grateful for the opportunity," said Reese on playing the championship game in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The linebacker may not be rated as highly as some of the rest of his classmates, but it's clear the multipart athlete is ready to come to the Capstone and compete at the highest level.

"The mindset has always been to win and I feel like it's the same way with Coach DeBoer. I feel like it's pretty much the same." said Reese. "I feel like he's using the program the same way Coach Saban was using the program. He has the same mindset as Coach Saban, not just to win games, but win championships."
