- Sophomore Alabama gymnast Gabby Gladieux was named SEC Specialist of the Week after a strong performance this past weekend, which saw her score a 9.975 on floor. That score helped fourth-ranked Alabama to a win over Auburn, UCLA and Cal in the Mean Girls Super 16 in Las Vegas.

- Shortly after winning WWE NXT's Breakout Tournament, Oba Femi (otherwise known as former Alabama track and field athlete Isaac Odugbesan) cashed in his opportunity and dethroned Dragon Lee to become the new NXT North American Champion. Odugbesan won two SEC shot put titles in a row from 2021-22.
