  • Alabama baseball opens spring team practices on Friday. The team will be headed to Coleman Coliseum after their scrimmages on Saturday to sign autographs at the men's basketball game. 
  • Former Alabama baseball pitcher David Robertson will be joining the reigning World Series champs. 

The Alabama women's track team comes in at No. 15 in the coaches poll, and the men's team was ranked No. 19.

On This Date in Crimson Tide History:

January 26, 1983: Paul W. “Bear” Bryant passed away at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa at the age of 69. Bryant had entered the hospital the previous evening after complaining of chest pains while visiting long-time friend Jimmy Hinton.

January 26, 1994: Kenyan Drake was born in Powder Springs, Ga.
