  • Bryce Young got his second NFL win this week. The Carolina Panthers defeated the Atlanta Falcons 9-7. Young passed for 167 yards and went without a touchdown or an interception, but he'll gladly take the win.
  • Tua Tagovailoa completed a big bomb to Jaylen Waddle on Sunday. The Miami Dolphins dominated division rival New York Jets 30-0.
  • Despite not having their starting quarterback, the Houston Texans still managed to defeat the Tennessee Titans 19-16. Rookie head coach DeMeco Ryans has his team at 8-6 and in a three-way tie for the division lead in the AFC South.

On This Day in Crimson Tide History:

December 18, 1971: Paul W. “Bear” Bryant announces running back Johnny Musso and defensive end Robin Parkhouse were selected as permanent team captains. The Football News also announced that Bryant had been chosen as its national Coach of the Year, with Musso the publication's Player of the Year.

December 18, 1971: Terry and Nick Saban were married (don’t forget it’s your anniversary, coach).

Crimson Tide Quote of the Day:

“I’ll go to my grave knowing I scored.” – Joe Namath on the quarterback sneak at the Orange Bowl at the end of the 1964 season.

We'll leave you with this...

  • The Alabama soccer program welcomed Melina Rebimbas from the University of North Carolina. Rebimbas scored three goals and had three assists in her freshman season for the Tar Heels.
