Seniors Sami Jacobs, Kendyl Reaugh and Alyiah Wells had 18, 13 and 12 kills, respectively. Jacobs’ 18 kills and 15 digs were both season highs, and second career double-double. Did You Notice?

  • Nick Saban owns a 70-19 (.787) mark in SEC road games across his time at LSU and Alabama, including a 58-11 (.838) record with the Crimson Tide. This was his 10th perfect SEC road seasons (the others being 2003, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2020).
  • Alabama and Auburn met for the 88th time in Iron Bowl history. The Crimson Tide holds a 50-37-1 all-time advantage in the long-standing series that dates to 1893. The regular-season finale for both teams was just the 17th pairing all-time in Auburn, with the Tigers holding a 10-7 mark on their campus.
  • Entering this weekend’s contest with Auburn, Alabama was ranked fourth on ESPN. com’s Football Power Index (FPI), trailing only Ohio State, Michigan and Georgia. The Crimson Tide was one of 12 teams nationally to have at least five wins against opponents that were already bowl eligible. Additionally, Alabama was one of three teams in the country with three wins against the latest AP Top 25, and one of five programs with three wins against teams listed in the most recent College Football Playoff rankings.
  • Since the 2008 season, Alabama has played in 184 of 190 regular season games with national championship implications, spanning both the College Football Playoff and Bowl Championship Series eras. The final three games of the 2010 campaign and the final three weeks of the 2022 schedule marked the only six regular season contests without direct national championship implications over the last 15 seasons.

On This Day in Crimson Tide History:

November 26, 1964: A 100-yard kickoff return by Ray Ogden sparked Alabama to a 21-14 Thanksgiving victory over Auburn at Legion Field. The Crimson Tide’s other touchdowns came on a fumble recovery in the end zone by Steve Bowman and a 23-yard pass from Joe Namath to Ray Perkins. Bowman’s touchdown was the result of a snap sailing 39 yards over kicker's Jon Kilgore’s head into the Auburn end zone. – Bryant Museum

Crimson Tide Quote of the Day:

"This team lost one game in overtime to a very, very good team who's No. 1 right now, and we lost in overtime. Everybody's got to make their choices and decisions about that. But I think we've got a great football team and a great bunch of young men who have done a wonderful job and played some really dominant football on both sides of the ball. I think they deserve an opportunity, the best opportunity that's out there for them." — Nick Saban after Alabama won at Auburn 42-14 in 2011, and hoped for a rematch with LSU in the BCS Championship Game.
