  • Former Alabama edge rusher Terrell Lewis has a new home, as he signs with the New Orleans Saints practice squad.
  • Henry To'oTo'o had the third-highest PFF grade among rookies in week 1.
  • Tua Tagovailoa was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his 466-yard and three-touchdown performance in week 1.
  • The Alabama rowing program announced its 2023-24 schedule, including two home races on the Black Warrior River, along with a pair of trips to Sarasota, Fla., and Nathan Benderson Park. The fall slate opens at the Head of Oklahoma on Saturday, Sept. 30. The Crimson Tide will then host the Head of the Black Warrior River on Saturday, Oct. 28, in Tuscaloosa.

September 14, 1974: Calvin Culliver rushed for 169 yards, including a 73-yard touchdown run, as Alabama edged Jerry Claiborne's Maryland Terps 21-16. A fake punt by Richard Todd sustained a fourth-quarter drive that gave the Crimson Tide an insurmountable lead- Bryant Museum. 

September 14, 1991: Chance Warmack was born in Detroit, and Dee Milliner was born in Deatsville, Ala.
