Social media sensation "Roll Tide Willie" visited the baseball team on Wednesday. Willie made the trip to Tuscaloosa to make social media content with student-athletes from various sports and was in the Mal Moore Athletic facility over the weekend helping recruit prospective student athletes. Alabama baseball season tickets are officially on sale as the Crimson Tide throws its first pitch on Feb. 16.

Roll Tide Willie was also featured in Alabama basketball's social media post celebrating two of its signees earning recognition as McDonalds All-Americans.

Pelicans head coach Willie Green credited Herb Jones for Tuesday's 153-124 victory over the Utah Jazz. The specific sequence (pictured below) features Jones making a block, a steal and an assist in the span of 25-seconds. Jones finished with 22 points, five rebounds, five assists with the steal and the block. He was a perfect 4-4 from the 3-point line. Fellow Alabama product Collin Sexton led the Jazz with 22 points, seven assists and three rebounds in the losing effort.

Houston Texans first-year head coach DeMeco Ryans was named AFC Coach of the Year and will be celebrated at the annual NFL Honors event. Ryans led his former franchise to an AFC South division championship after the Texans were one of the worst teams in the league the year prior.

January 24, 1938: Alabama's freshmen and reserves were told by Coach Frank Thomas to be ready to report for spring football in 10 days. Lew Bostick of Birmingham and Vic Bradford of Memphis, Tenn., were chosen as captain and alternate captain, respectively, for the '38 season.
