Live Updates: No. 16 Alabama Soccer at Ole Miss

The Alabama soccer team is seeking its first road win of conference play.

The Alabama soccer team will reach double digit victories on the season if it wins Thursday evening, and if that happens, the Crimson Tide will also have won a conference road game for the first time this fall. In three tries up to this point, Alabama has not been successful in that endeavor.

That's what's in front of No. 16 Alabama (9-3-4) in Oxford, Miss., against Ole Miss. Ole Miss was one of many teams to fall in Tuscaloosa in 2022, which started a winless skid that derailed the Rebels' season. However, home field advantage has proven to be a real thing on both sides. Just as Alabama's home unbeaten streak stretches back to the 2021 campaign, Ole Miss can be the fourth team to defeat the Crimson Tide in league play if it defends home field.

Ole Miss (6-5-3) hasn't gotten off to the same type of start that it did last season. Its two conference wins were against LSU and Missouri by a combined margin of two goals. Most recently, the Rebels drew against South Carolina on Oct. 13. The last Ole Miss win came against Missouri on Oct. 5. 

In its last outing, Alabama, which is 3-3-1 in the SEC, defeated LSU 4-1. It was one of the Crimson Tide's most complete performances of the fall. After giving up one early, Alabama went on a tear and notched four straight, bringing its total number of goals over the last two seasons against Baton Rouge's Tigers to nine.
