It has been quite the week for Alabama softball at the SEC Tournament to end up back in the semifinals Friday night.

The fifth-seeded Crimson Tide opened play late Wednesday night after lengthy weather delays to beat 13-seed Missouri 7-2 behind two home runs from Ashley Prange.

Then, late Thursday night, Alabama took on the 4-seed and host team Arkansas Razorbacks. The Crimson Tide held a narrow 1-0 advantage for most of the game before the Razorbacks tied it up in the sixth inning. Star pitcher Montana Fouts left the game with a leg injury in the seventh inning. She will not be available for the rest of the SEC Tournament head coach Patrick Murphy told ESPN.

Alabama scored two runs in the top of the ninth on a double from Bailey Dowling to beat Arkansas 3-2 and advance to the semifinals.

Because of all the weather delays throughout the week and the double-bye, 1-seed Tennessee did not begin play until Friday morning. They shut out the Florida 4-0 in the quarterfinals to secure a rematch with the Crimson Tide.

The Volunteers had a pretty dominant run through the regular season, including taking two of three games from Alabama in Knoxville. However, the one game that Alabama won in the series was started by Alex Salter.

First pitch between Alabama (40-17, 14-10 SEC) and Tennessee (41-8, 19-5 SEC) will be 35 minutes after the conclusion of the South Carolina vs. Auburn game on ESPN2.
