Alabama lost to Kentucky on Thursday 71-58 to end their SEC Tournament in the second round. This marks the Crimson Tide's fourth straight loss and heading into the NCAA Tournament, a slump like this is the last thing a team needs.

The Wildcats were able to slow Brittany Davis down, as she put up just nine points on 25 percent shooting. Aaliyah Nye was able to pick up some of the slack as she scored 15 points, but it was not enough as a rough fourth quarter put the game out of reach.

With the losing streak at four, Alabama now needs to do a lot of reflection as to why they are unable to have a complete performance. One reason as to why the Crimson Tide have not been able to win as of late is the lack of offense.

In this losing streak, Alabama has only scored more than 60 points once, in a 81-77 loss to Florida. In the other three games, Alabama has scored just 48, 55, and 58 points. This is very different compared to the types of scoring output they had earlier in the season, with the team scoring into the 70s on multiple occasion, and even hitting the 88 point mark in a couple of games.

The main reason seems to be that the style of offense Alabama runs is not suited to their strengths. A team that can shoot the ball and that can run in transition often find themselves running a slow, half-court offense that has to settle for just ok shots.

While the team is reeling from its most recent loss, there needs to be a lot of changes if this team wants any success in March.
