It's officially the offseason as the Alabama baseball team finished its season on Sunday. The Tide lost to top-ranked Wake Forest, but it was a magical ride, especially considering the hurdles the program faced this year.

Did interim head coach Jason Jackson do enough to get promoted permanently?

The Alabama administration didn't even let the dust settle before reports emerge of a new baseball coach. Is Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne hitting a home run in new coach Rob Vaughn?

The challenges continued through the weekend for Alabama fans as Saturday night saw UFC middleweight Eryk Anders lose his fight in Vancouver. Anders appeared in terrific condition for the fight, but unfortunately didn't do enough to earn the judges favor. It was a loss in the cage, but a win in the pocketbook as Anders and his opponent were awarded "Fight of the Night" at UFC 289.

More bad news for the Tide, but this time in basketball as Mo Dioubate shared on social media this weekend a photo decked out in a knee brace.

There's been no official reporting of Dioubate's injury, but it places an even bigger emphasis on Alabama securing Grant Nelson out of the transfer portal.

Gaither concluded his show with three quick football topics. Are the Detroit Lions working harder at practice than Alabama? Who enjoyed their recruiting weekend the most? Did Nick Saban give a "wink and nod" to Tyler Buchner as the starting quarterback?

All this and more on "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral". Check us out weekdays at 1 p.m. on Facebook, Youtube and Twitter. Listen to us on replay on Youtube, Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
