With Easter this Sunday, baseball teams across the country are playing their series a day early. Alabama is no exception, as the Crimson Tide's series in Norman against Oklahoma will start on Thursday and conclude on Saturday.

The Crimson Tide is riding high, coming off back-to-back sweeps against ranked SEC opponents in Florida and Auburn, as well as a midweek win against a good Jacksonville State team. The Sooners, meanwhile, just got swept by rival Texas, putting a damper on what has otherwise been a very strong start to the season.

Oklahoma is 20-8 on the season and D1Baseball's No. 11 team in the country. The Sooners' wins include No. 10 TCU and series wins over No. 22 Texas A&M and LSU. They just blanked Oral Roberts 4-0 on Tuesday night and have not lost a series at home this year.

"Winning on the road is tough," head coach Rob Vaughn said. "We went out there and didn't play great in Kentucky, and then played really good at home for six games. So now the key is can that toughness we had, the ability to play baseball and do some things over the last two weeks, translate on the road against a really good team in a hostile environment in Norman?

Oklahoma won a series 2-1 in Norman in 2018, and Alabama swept a series in Tuscaloosa in 2001. The schools also played a standalone midweek game in Oklahoma City in 2002, a 17-3 massacre by Alabama, which was part of the deal of the 2001 series. Overall, the Crimson Tide leads the series 7-3 through ten games.
