TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Another Saturday of SEC basketball went by where multiple games went in Alabama's favor as it chases a third SEC regular season title in four years.

The Crimson Tide won its home game, and two teams right on its heels both lost at home in South Carolina and Auburn.

Alabama retained sole possession of first place in the league with six games remaining, with the next game being the first of two matchups with the Florida Gators.

Florida is red-hot, having won seven of its last eight games and the only loss coming by one point on the road. In the span Florida beat Auburn by double digits and went on the road to beat Kentucky, among others.

The Gators now sit at 8-4, tied with Kentucky for fifth place in the SEC standings. After a slow start to the season, year two of the Todd Golden era has picked up steam, creating a very interesting matchup in Coleman Coliseum.
