The NBA Draft is Thursday, June 22. Teams are beginning to lock in their draft board after evaluating the incoming class of players with only two weeks until draft night.

According to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, "all signs indicate" the Charlotte Hornets will use the No. 2 overall selection to draft Alabama forward Brandon Miller.

This is of course contingent on the San Antonio Spurs taking Victor Wembenyama with the No. 1 overall selection.

Miller earned AP First Team All-American, SEC Player of the Year, Naismith Player of the Year Semifinalist and various other honors in his single season with the University of Alabama.

The 6-foot-9 wing player showed elite offensive skill and helped the Crimson Tide win the SEC regular season and tournament championships.

In his 37 games of action for the Crimson Tide, Miller averaged 18.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 38% from 3-point land.

The 2022 No. 2 overall selection, Chet Holmgren, was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder and signed a 4-year contract worth $44.8 million, averaging out to $11.2 million per year.

Two weeks ago there were reports that Miller was struggling at the NBA Combine, causing those to wonder if he would maintain his status as a top-five pick.

However Jonathan Givony reported that the Nashville, Tn., native was suffering from mononucleosis, causing his endurance and performance to suffer.

Should O'Connor's reporting stand, Miller will be the highest selected Alabama player in the NBA Draft since Antonio McDyess was also selected with the second pick in 1995 by the Los Angeles Clippers.
