The No. 8 Alabama Crimson Tide just won the SEC West title for the 13th time under head coach Nick Saban by defeating the Kentucky Wildcats 49-21. The Crimson Tide has its on-field focus on the final two games of the season and the SEC Championship Game in early December but looming just past the conclusion of the year is football's national early signing date.

Alabama currently has the No. 5 overall recruiting class with 20 scholarship players. Over the weekend the Crimson Tide added a kicker to the mix in local talent Tucker Cornelius of the Northridge Jaguars. Cornelius is reportedly 6-foot-3, 185-pounds and coming to the Tide as a preferred walk-on.

Cornelius joins his Jaguars specialist teammate in Anderson Green who's already committed to the Tide as a preferred walk-on punter.

On Tuesday the Crimson Tide locked down its final specialist need in the 2024 class with another preferred walk-on commitment. Jay Williams is from Heritage High School in Ringgold, Ga., and considered the No. 3 long-snapper in the class of 2024 by Jamie Kohl's services.

The Crimson Tide still has just 20 scholarship positions to fill and can add as many as many as eight more to the class depending on the transfer portal.

For now Alabama's Northridge Jaguar presence gets a little stronger as there will be four on the team as the two PWOs join scholarship freshman tackle Wilkin Formby and walk-on Baker Hickman. Formby has played in two games this season for the Crimson Tide.

The national early signing date for the 2024 class is just five weeks away on Wednesday, December 20.
