Alabama Football Set For Nighttime Showdown With Mississippi State

In this story:
The No. 13 Alabama Crimson Tide opens conference play this weekend by hosting the No. 15 Ole Miss Rebels. Alabama football head coach Nick Saban is notorious for focusing on one game at a time, but we can look ahead to the following week as the SEC announced kickoff times for the Week 5 slate.
The Crimson Tide will hit the road for the second time this season, the first in conference play, on Saturday, Sept. 30 to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The contest will kickoff at 8 p.m. CT in Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, Miss.

Alabama holds an 85-18-3 series advantage over the Bulldogs, and Saban boasts a 15-1 record during his time in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide is 33-7-1 when playing in Starkville with the last loss coming in 2007.
Last year's contest ended in a 30-6 Crimson Tide victory in Tuscaloosa and the last time Alabama played in Starkville the Tide rolled back down Highway 82 with a 49-6 win.
This season's matchup will look a bit different than the last three as Mississippi State is in its first year under new head coach Zach Arnett. Arnett was promoted from Bulldog's defensive coordinator due to the untimely passing of Mike Leach in the offseason.

As previously stated the Crimson Tide hosts Ole Miss this weekend and Mississippi State heads on the road to play the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Next week's contest can be seen on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. CT and will be aired on ESPN. Pregame coverage can be heard on Crimson Tide Sports Network beginning at 5 p.m. CT.
