The Alabama Crimson Tide has struck gold in its second transfer portal addition of the 2024 off-season.

According to On3 Sports former Southern California Trojan Domani Jackson has decided to join the Alabama Crimson Tide by way of the transfer portal.

Jackson is a former 5-star defensive back prospect of of Mater Dei high school in the class of 2022. He was considered the No. 1 player in the state of California and the No. 5 overall player in his class.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound cornerback played in 18 games over the last two seasons for the USC Trojans. He's tallied 35 tackles with four pass break-ups to his name.

Jackson was between Southern Cal, Alabama and Michigan in his recruitment and once he opted for the transfer portal he reportedly went back to the Tide and the Maize and Blue.

He was spotted at Alabama's Rose Bowl practice on Thursday as the Tide is preparing to play the Wolverines in the College Football Playoff semifinal.

As a former Mater Dei Monarch he is former teammates with former Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young and with incoming freshman cornerback Zabien Brown.

He will have two more years of eligibility and will look to take advantage of holes left by cornerbacks Kool-Aid McKinstry and Terrion Arnold who will both likely declare for the NFL Draft.

Jackson becomes the Crimson Tide's second incoming transfer portal player and second defensive player as former Texas A&M defender LT Overton decided to join Alabama as well out of the portal in this cycle.

The Crimson Tide will likely continue to use the portal to select players that can help the 2024 team immediately as Overton and Jackson both arrive with extensive high-level experience.
