TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — A happy homecoming crowd enjoying the nice Tuscaloosa fall weather was called to full attention by the fourth quarter of Alabama's game against Arkansas Saturday.

A once three-score lead had dwindled down to just three points, and the Razorbacks had the ball with less than 10 minutes to go. The Alabama defense got the final stop it needed, capped by a sack from Dallas Turner and Justin Eboigbe. And the offense was able to run out the clock on the ensuing possession thanks to some strong runs from Jase McClellan.

No. 11 Alabama beat Arkansas 24-21 inside a crimson-covered Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Penalties and sacks once again plagued the Crimson Tide. Alabama only finished with five penalties, but they were costly. Defensive penalties on third down from Jaylen Key and Caleb Downs led to Arkansas' first touchdown at the end of the third quarter that got the Hogs back in the game.

The five sacks of Jalen Milroe by the Arkansas defense kept the Razorbacks in the game when their own offense was struggling. Milroe had a stellar first half with 215 yards and 2 touchdowns (bombs to Kobe Prentice and Amari Niblack         jrtrgh, but had trouble connecting with his receivers in the second half.

Downs and Key led Alabama with 7 tackles apiece. Jase McClellan finished as Alabama's leading rusher with 83 yards, and Kobe Prentice led all receivers with 93 yards and a touchdown.

The victory over Arkansas started a stretch of three straight home games for the Crimson Tide at Bryant-Denny. Alabama improves to 6-1 (4-0 SEC) and will next take on Tennessee next Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
