Sources: Alabama Football Looking to 'Get [Kendrick Law] the Ball the Best Way Possible'

The second-year wide receiver may see an increased workload in different positions against LSU on Saturday night.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Alabama offense is still in search of its identity.

Week-by-week, offensive coordinator Tommy Rees continues to add new wrinkles to the Crimson Tide's playbook. Last week, sophomore wide receiver Kendrick Law got on the field and caught two passes for 38 yards.

On Monday evening, this photo began circulating on social media. Law appears to be lined up alongside quarterback Jalen Milroe in the backfield:

Sources tell BamaCentral that Law has been moving around the offense during practice, and Alabama is looking to "get him the ball the best way possible" moving forward.

This doesn't necessarily mean Law is jumping into the starting lineup on Saturday night, but expect to see more usage like in the game against Tennessee nine days ago.

Law's recent implementation into the offense is likely Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide's coaching staff "wanting to reward hard work," a source added.

"K-Law is really a great competitor — really tough, physical guy," Saban said Monday. "He is a little different than some of our other receivers, so he does have a role to play and does a really good job of that. He's a great special teams player. Really good team guy, hard worker. So I think we’ll try to always have roles for him to play in the game that benefit his skillset and complement the other guys that we’ve got."

"I think Kendrick Law has great practice habits," Milroe said Monday. "We all see that as an offense, how well he practices. That allows him to be more effective in the game plan for every week. He's a great player — practices very hard, great mindset. He's also a team player. I think Kendrick made great strides throughout the weeks and he's gonna be a key resource for us moving forward."

Law is in his second year with the Crimson Tide. He appeared in 11 games last season, finishing with eight receptions for 103 yards. This season, Law has appeared in every game except for Alabama's win at USF on Sept. 16, which he missed with an illness.

Law has five catches for 54 yards this season. He has been the Crimson Tide's kick returner for the majority of the season as well, returning eight kicks for 196 yards.
