Jesse McCulloch is two weeks away from announcing his collegiate destination, and Alabama basketball is in contention.

McCulloch, a 6-foo-9, 190-pound power forward from Cleveland, Ohio, is a consensus 3-star prospect who attends Lutheran East High School. In addition to Alabama, he is also considering Michigan State, Virginia Tech and Xavier.

McCulloch has a solid shooting stroke, and at his height, he isn't bothered by defenders contesting his shot. He also can score in the post in multiple ways, whether with a turnaround jump shot, a jump hook with his right hand, or overpowering his defender.

He also runs the floor effectively, which is important for an Alabama offense that likes to run. Like most high schoolers McCulloch has a thin frame and he'll need to add muscle to do well against Power 5 competition.

As of now, his skill set is more of a stretch big than that of a wing player, but another year of development may result in his game expanding more to the perimeter.

Regarding his fit, McCulloch is built similarly to 2023 signee Sam Walters: a long, athletic forward that can run the floor and shoot 3-pointers. If McCulloch continues to develop, he could thrive in Alabama's offensive system.
