Visit Primer: Hogs' Set to Host Top 10 Prospect This Weekend

In this story:
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The highly anticipated visit of 5-star guard Meleek Thomas is expected to take place this weekend, according to mulitple reports.
Thomas has rescheduled his visit to Arkansas a couple of times before, but now comes to town with the Razorbacks football team hosting No. 4 Tennessee. Brad Nessler and Kirk Herbstreit are on the call in the booth which means plenty of eyes will be on the Hogs.
The 6-foot-4, 175 pound combo guard is one of the top targets of Calipari's 2025 class which is currently headlined by fellow 5-star Darius Acuff. Thomas is ranked as the No. 7 prospect in his class and No. 1 shooting guard in the country, according to 247sports.

Arkansas along with Auburn, Alabama, Kansas, Kansas State, Pitt, and UConn are fixtures in his recruitment. However, it feels like the race is between the Razorbacks, Crimson Tide and Wildcats for the talented guard's services.
The Pennsylvania native visited UConn in June, saw Nate Oats at Alabama Sept. 27 and has scheduled a visit with Kansas State Oct. 26. He is also being heavily pursued by his hometown Pitt Panthers which remain in contention.

He recently transferred to Overtime Elite this summer to compete with other top college and professional prospects for his senior year. OTE gives students an opportunity to refine their skills before making the jump to whichever route they pursue.
As a junior at Lincoln Park in Midland, Pennsylvania, he averaged over 19 points per game with eight rebounds, five assists and four steals last season.
