In this story:

The challenging part of flipping a roster is getting a whole bunch of people that don't really know each other to be able to get close quickly to play football together.

Coach Freeze spoke about this at SEC Media Days and the challenge he is facing getting to know all of his players.

Here is what Coach Freeze had to say about this difficulty, "That's the challenge. Yeah, I don't even know all the names yet. Truthfully, we're going to wear tape on our helmets again. We recruited kids after spring practice. I haven't coached them, haven't been able to be with them a whole lot, and truthfully, you know, it'd be hard for me to sit here and say that I truly know them or that they know me and so it's it's one of the I've never felt quite like this and going to have to lean and depend upon our assistant coaches and enormous amount to help us capture their minds and their hearts and everything that's going on with obviously you transfer or come in you, and you kind of expect that you might get to play. Well, that's not going to be true for every single person, and yet we're going to need everybody in that team room to be of one mind and one accord. I went away last week to the mountains, something I started doing years ago, and I kind of wrote my entire year's teaching plan. I hope that helps, but the fact is there's no skirting the issue that we've got, and that's a big challenge for us to try to formulate a team from so many different new faces and in a very short amount of time."

There are a ton of new faces, and a good amount of them will play a lot of snaps, especially in the offensive line, defensive line, wide receiver, and linebacker rooms.

Having a football team that is close off the field leads to wins on the field, so hopefully, Coach Freeze is able to get these players connected quickly.
