Jones on the loss to NMSU: 'The best we can do is throw it in the trash'

In this story:
It was easy to sense the frustration among the Auburn Tigers suited up on Saturday in the loss to New Mexico State.
The defense had one of their worst outings of the season and the Auburn offense struggled to stay on the field.
Auburn defensive lineman Jayson Jones was critical of the defensive performance against the New Mexico State Aggies on Saturday.
"We didn't play our brand of football. I can't speak for the offense, but I know defensively that wasn't it," Jones told Auburn Daily. "We haven't shown that all year and I feel like we let the whole fan base down. I feel like I personally let them down from our performance. So the best we can do is throw it in the trash because we can't do anything about that game anymore. We're always going to watch it. We're always going to evaluate it and move forward with it. That's all we can do."
Sometimes that can be easier said than done. Jones had a pretty clear reaction when asked about how difficult that could be to do as a team and move on.
"You can't deny what happened, first off. It's going to hurt watching every single bit of it."
