Ben Wolk: 'Obviously, Hugh Freeze knows what he's doing from a recruiting perspective'

In this story:
Ben Wolk came on the Locked On Auburn Podcast, and host Zac Blackerby asked him to talk a little bit about Auburn recruiting.
Here is what Wolk had to say, "Well, I mean, Joseph Phillips made me look a little bit stupid. I thought he was going to be ending up at Georgia. I was going to go see him like the day before he ended up making his announcement. But no, I mean, obviously, Hugh Freeze knows what he's doing from a recruiting perspective. I don't think that that's a news flash to anyone. He obviously recruits the right type of guys. Joseph Phillips, big linebacker, win. Marcus Riddick is the one that I think everyone will be watching here in the next few weeks. And I think that Auburn and Alabama are probably better positioned than Georgia is right now to get him. Despite being committed to Georgia, which is a little weird. Yeah, it is weird. It's like, it's one of those things you kind of got to dance around a little bit. But yeah, I mean, I think obviously Auburn's doing a lot of the right things on the recruiting trail. Winning linebacker recruitments against Georgia is a big win because Glenn Schuman does as good of a job with his room as anybody in college football. And to be winning those battles, it says a lot about the trajectory of where Auburn's going."
Like Wolk says, it's so secret that Coach Hugh Freeze has been a successful recruiter for a long time, and that has carried over to his time at Auburn so far.
