Auburn JACK Jalen McLeod Returning For Final Season

The Tigers are getting McLeod back for one more year.

Auburn is getting a pass rusher back for one more season in 2024.

Jalen McLeod, one of the Tigers' primary JACKs and second on the team in sacks, is returning for another season, per multiple reports.

McLeod transferred in from Appalachian State and finished the regular season with 44 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and 5.5 sacks. He struggled at the beginning of the year due to injury but really turned things up as the season wound down.

It was also announced today that safety Zion Puckett will be entering the 2024 NFL Draft. He will be playing in the bowl game against Maryland, however.

Through five seasons with the Tigers, Puckett racked up 146 career total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and two interceptions, both of which came this season.

With Puckett leaving alongside a number of veteran Tiger defensive backs, Auburn will have to prepare their young core of freshman safeties DBs to carry a heavy load next season.
