Where Boston College is Seeded in 2025 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament

The 2024-25 women’s basketball regular season has officially come to a close. 

The last slate of games ended on Sunday and now the teams that have advanced are looking towards Greensboro for the ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament later in the week. 

Boston College ended its regular season with an 82-57 road loss to the Syracuse Orange which put its record at 15-16 overall and 6-12 in ACC play. 

With the mark, the Eagles earned the No. 12 seed in the tournament and will rematch Syracuse, who is the No. 13 seed, in the opening game of the event on Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. ET. The winner will play No. 5 UNC on Thursday morning. 

The first round will consist of three matchups. Following the Eagles and Orange will be No. 10 Virginia and No. 15 Pitt at 3:30 p.m., and the winner will face No. 7 Cal in the second round. No. 11 Stanford and No. 14 Clemson will cap off the opening round at 6:30 p.m. The winner of that game will take on No. 6 Louisville in the second. 

Currently, there is only one solidified matchup for the second round, No. 8 Virginia Tech vs. No. 9 Georgia Tech on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. 

The four teams to receive a double bye and automatically advance to the quarterfinals are NC State as the No. 1 seed, Notre Dame as the No. 2, Duke as the No. 3, and Florida State as the No. 4.

All games in the first two rounds will be broadcasted on ACC Network. The quarterfinals and semifinals go between ACC Network and ESPN2. 

The championship game will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. on ESPN.
