BYU Basketball Adds Veteran Scorer Ques Glover

Ques Glover is an experienced scorer that signed with Florida out of high school

On Wednesday, the BYU basketball program added one of the top available scoring guards in the country when Samford transfer Ques Glover committed to the Cougars. Glover told The Portal Report that he heard from the likes of Tennessee, Memphis, LSU, Ole Miss, Purdue, Clemson, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Richmond, and Dayton among others while he was in the transfer portal. Glover, who is listed at 6'0, has one year of eligibility remaining.

In 2021-2022, Glover ranked 34th nationally in scoring when he averaged 19.2 points per game. He also averaged 4.4 assists per game which ranked second in the Southern Conference. His prolific offense that season made him First-Team All Conference selection. That was also the last full season he played. In 2022-2023, Glover played in only 19 games due to injury and he averaged a team high 14.7 points per game. You can check out his highlights below.

Glover adds an ability to get to the rim and create offense, a need that BYU needed to address this offseason. Glover will contend for a starting spot right away in BYU's first season in the Big 12.

Glover is the third transfer to commit to BYU since the end of last season. He joins fellow transfers Aly Khalifa and Dawson Baker as a BYU commits.

Stay tuned for more recruiting and transfer portal updates as BYU rounds out its roster for the Big 12 next season.
