BYU is 0-1 all time against Texas Tech. The lone matchup between these two programs came in 1940, just before the Cougars shut down the program from 1942-1945 during WWII. BYU lost that game in Lubbock 21-20.

Injury Report

The top storyline heading into this game is the quarterback situation for Texas Tech. Starting quarterback Behren Morton is a game-time decision against BYU. Morton left the game against Kansas State with an injury. If Morton can't go, Texas Tech will start true freshman Jake Strong.

On the other sideline, BYU is hoping to get a few players back in the lineup. BYU starting cornerback Kamden Garrett is expected to play for the Cougars. BYU could also welcome back running back Aidan Robbins. Robbins has been sidelined for over a month.
