BYU Priority Target Faletau Satuala Will Announce College Decision on Saturday

Four-star athlete Faletau Satuala will announce his college choice at Saturday's Army High School All-American game

One of BYU's top targets is scheduled to come off the board on Saturday. Bountiful High School standout Faletau Satuala will announce his college decision on Saturday at the Army High School All-American game. Satuala, a four-star recruit, will pick between BYU, Utah, and UCLA on national television. The game will be broadcast on NBC and will kickoff at 11:00 AM Mountain Time.

Faletau played on both sides of the ball at Bountiful High School. He projects as a linebacker or a safety at the next level, but he is talented enough to play some wide receiver or tight end. Satuala has been a priority target for BYU defensive coordinator Jay Hill since he arrived on campus.

Satuala, who is listed at 6'3 and 200 pounds, is ranked as the second best recruit in the state according to 247Sports and the 18th best safety in the country. He has been a standout performer this week in the practices for the All-American game. He is talented enough to factor into the rotation at either safety or linebacker as soon as he gets on campus.

Satuala also picked up competing offers from USC, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Arizona, Arizona State,  Washington State, Oregon State, and Utah State during the process. He narrowed in on UCLA, Utah, and BYU. Those were the schools that he officially visited during his recruitment.

Satuala would be one of the crown jewels of BYU's recruiting class should he pick the Cougars. He intends to play right away, so he could make an impact as early as the 2024 season.
