WR/TE Meyer Swinney Commits to Cal for 2025

Meyer Swinney, a wide receiver and tight end from Edina, Minnesota, committed to Cal over the weekend for the class of 2025, according to multiple media outlets.
Swinney, who is the brother of Cal offensive lineman Bastian Swinney, visited Cal on an unofficial visit and watched the Bears’ scrimmage on Saturday.
The 6-foor-4, 210-pound Swinney played wide receiver for the most part at Edina High School although he also played some tight end, which might be the position he will play at Cal. He had 54 catches for 900 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2023.
Swinney is rated a three-star recruit by both Rivals and 24 Sports, and he chose Cal over offers from Mississippi, Miami, Texas A&M, Duke, Purdue and Kansas, among others.

Swinney is the Golden Bears’ sixth commitment in 2025 class, in addition to running back Jojo Solis, running back Carter Jackson, quarterback Robert McDaniel, linebacker Carter Jones and defensive back Kaden Cook.
Cal begins play in the Atlantic Coast Conference in the fall of 2024.
Here is a video of Swinney from last November, when Cal was high on his list:
