Cincinnati Good Bad, And Ugly: West Virginia Mountaineers 2024 Game Two

Cincinnati stopped its losing streak entering the Big 12 Tournament.

TUNNEL HILL — The Cincinnati Bearcats took on the West Virginia Mountaineers on Saturday, winning 92-56.

It was senior day for the Bearcats. Here is the Good, Bad, and Ugly from the final regular season game as the Bearcats enter their must-win conference tournament run.

The Good: The best part of this game is the dominant win in general. The Bearcats have momentum as they look to start the first round of the Big 12 tournament with a bang. The points in the paint differential was ridiculously high in favor of the Bearcats 48-14. Many of the Bearcats players had great days. Dan Skillings, John Newman, Jamille Reynolds, Simas Lukosius all had double-digit points on the day which led to the blow out win.

The Bad: They could always improve their three-point percentage (8-of-27 from deep). They have to be able to shoot better in order to win games this late in the season.

The Ugly: The ugly is now it gets to the hard point. It’s win or go home in the Big 12 Tournament having to capture five consecutive wins to make the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
