Report: Butler Wing Simas Lukosius Officially Visiting UC

Cincinnati is looking for a high-powered shooting threat.

CINCINNATI — UC is still hunting for another impact transfer after the loss of Landers Nolley II. One of those options could be Butler wing Simas Lukosius (11 Pts, 4 Reb, 2.9 Ast in 2022-23), who is officially visiting UC on Thursday.

BearcatJournal's Chad Brendel reported the visit and also noted Lukosius is taking official visits with BYU, and Oklahoma State.

The 6-foot-6, 230-pound wing has two years of eligibility left and is On3's 34th-ranked available transfer. The sharpshooter would instantly help replace the shooting of David DeJulius, Nolley, and Jeremiah Davenport.

Lukosius hit 37% of his threes on 4.9 attempts per game last season in a variety of ways. He can create his triple off the bounce and weave through screens as a deadly player off the catch. He's a strong playmaker as well who uses his eyes to deceive opponents and open driving lanes.

He would be a fantastic fit in UC's fast-paced, balanced passing offense.
