Report: UC Basketball Playing Dayton in 2023-24 Season
CINCINNATI — Cincinnati is playing a game against its I-75 neighbors next season. Dayton and UC basketball are set to play each other in a non-conference bout at Heritage Bank Center in Downtown Cincinnati on Dec. 16 called the Hoops Classic.
"We're happy to partner with bdG Sports, which will facilitate a community engagement aspect around a big-time college basketball game in our city," UC head coach Wes Miller said in a press release.
The Flyers and Bearcats are far from strangers. UC's played Dayton the sixth-most times of any program since 1949, sporting a 44-16 all-time series record over that span.
The matchup is contracted for one year with the option for a second year built in.
They last played in Nov. 2010, a 68-34 UC win.
