Bearcats Land Auburn Transfer Wide Receiver Tar'Varish Dawson; UC Linebacker Cam Junior Enters Transfer Portal

Cincinnati had some portal movement on Friday.

CINCINNATI — UC added its first transfer this cycle at its biggest position of need in Auburn wide receiver Tar'Varish Dawson.

The 5-10, 175-pound speedster had just 2 catches for 30 yards last season but should be able to compete in the thin slot position and has three years of eligibility left.

He runs a 10.58-second 100-meter dash and was the Tigers starting slot receiver for one week last season before getting replaced. The move adds much-needed speed and Power-Five experience to the Bearcats receiving room.

According to 247Sports, Dawson ranked 351st nationally in the 2021 class.

Cincinnati also lost redshirt sophomore linebacker Cam Junior to the transfer portal.

He posted a pair of tackles last season across two appearances and never really got extensive playing time this spring. Junior is the third UC linebacker to enter the portal this spring.
