The Good, Bad, & Ugly: Cincinnati Posts Statement Win Over The Jayhawks

A great win for Wes Miller and UC.

TUNNEL HILL — The Cincinnati Bearcats once again took a win in the Big 12 tournament, defeating the Kansas Jayhawks 72-52.

The Good: The Bearcats are one step closer to making it in the big dance! Dan Skillings Jr. was a man amongst boys as he truly turned up the pressure. He had 25 points on the night. Free throws improved for the Bearcats which was huge (7-of-9). They didn’t shoot as badly as they have from the three and they dominated the game from start to finish.

The Bad: The Field goal percentage will have to improve as they shot 28-for-73 on the day as a whole. That run likely won't last past Baylor shooting like that.

The Ugly: This game will likely be discredited and overshadowed by the absence of Kevin McCullar and Hunter Dickinson. Their path to March Madness still requires two more wins to feel safe about dancing.

The Cincinnati Bearcats take on the Baylor Bears on Thursday at 9:30 p.m. ET.
