Utah Valley Forward Aziz Bandaogo Transferring to UC
CINCINNATI — UC basketball is adding Utah Valley transfer forward Aziz Bandaogo.
Cincinnati has a full roster heading into the Big 12 after adding the athletic talent.
Bandaogo posted 15 points and 12 rebounds in UVU's NIT win over Cincinnati this past season. He is one of the nation's best rebounders at 7-foot, 225 pounds. The talent posted 11.5 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks per game last season.
"We played against Aziz in the NIT, and we were extremely impressed with his ability to impact both ends of the floor," Miller said in a press release. "Defensively, he's well-known for his rim presence as an elite shot blocker, but he also has great defensive versatility and can guard multiple positions. He runs the floor well and has shown the ability to finish above the rim in transition as well as pick-and-rolls. His improvement over the last few years is remarkable, and we believe he will continue to improve and showcase his entire game at Cincinnati."
The WAC Defensive Player of the Year is a monstrous defender that gives Cincinnati verticality on the other end it did not have before this weekend.
