Wes Miller Provides Latest CJ Fredrick Injury Update: 'Improving Rapidly'

In this story:
CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Wes Miller's injury updates continued on his 700 WLW radio show this week. The big (and only) player in question is guard CJ Fredrick (hamstring).
Miller said the guard is making progress towards a return as Big 12 play rages on.
"He's doing better," Miller told Dan Hoard. "CJ has been down in the dumps because he wants to play and help our team. And today I caught him smiling for the first time when he came out of a workout, so he started to get moving. He got a sweat. And he was smiling again, which I liked to see. I don't have a timetable, but he is improving rapidly at the moment."
Fredrick holds the best offensive rating on the team (134.7) and is a massive shooting threat when he's on the floor. Josh Reed has done a solid job filling in his minutes and adding his own outside threat in his stead.
Expect the sophomore to keep getting valuable experience while Fredrick continues working back. He has not played since the Dec. 22 win over Stetson.
