Desmond Ridder on Facing Ahmad 'Sauce' Gardner This Coming Season: 'Strap It Up And Let's Go'

The two teams face each other on Dec. 3.

CINCINNATI — Desmond Ridder and Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner faced off in the NFL's preseason last year, but they get a regular season matchup between the Jets and Falcons this coming season.

Ridder discussed facing his old buddy on Good Morning Football this week with the matchup set for Dec. 3.

"No we stay in touch," Ridder said "We know what it is as soon as we hit the field you know it's just strap it up and let's go, but nah you know that's my good buddy Ahmad. You know we've been through a lot together and obviously, you know we played each other last year preseason so, you know, we was talking here and there during practice and everything but now you know when the lights come on, you know, it's gonna be a fun one up there in New York."

Ridder is trying to reach similar heights as Sauce at his position.

Gardner is already considered one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL after becoming the first CB this decade to win AP Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.
