Desmond Ridder on Outside QB Rumors: 'I Have a TV And I Do See That Sometimes'

The Falcons quarterback isn't fazed but the chatter.

CINCINNATI — Desmond Ridder didn't get a full-fledged starting endorsement right away this offseason, but it didn't affect his mentality as fans called for the Atlanta Falcons to trade for Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Ridder discussed those trials as Atlanta's offseason program heats up.

"I have a TV and I do see that sometimes it puts a chip on my shoulder," Ridder said. "I can control what I can control, and I know at the end of the day I'm gonna be the best player I can be not only for myself but for my team."

Ridder has some questions to answer in his second season after facing poor competition or backup-laden starting units down the stretch. Still, he played efficient football in his four starts and did not throw an interception.

The Falcons are pushing their chips in on the second-year player.
