PFF Names Alec Pierce Top-10 Week 13 NFL Rookie
CINCINNATI — Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce had a strong outing in Sunday's 54-19 loss to the Colts. PFF agreed, grading him seventh among all NFL rookies in Week 13.
"Pierce continues to be a big-play threat for the Colts," Michael Renner wrote. "The second-rounder caught four of his eight targets for 86 yards and a score against the Cowboys on Sunday night. He’s been a tad feast-or-famine this season but looks like a perfect complementary deep threat."
The catches were his second-most in an NFL game, while his yards set a new top single-game mark. Pierce has arguably been the best rookie player on the team so far this season.
He was the highest-graded rookie Colt dating back to Week 12 and sports a 63.1 overall mark. Pierce leads the Colts in yards per catch (15.9) and is second to Michael Pittman Jr. with 510 receiving yards.
