UC Guard David DeJulius Captures First AAC Player of the Week Award

The leader is scorching defenses through three games.

CINCINNATI — Bearcats guard David DeJulius is your first AAC Player of the Week of the college basketball season.

The award marks DeJulius's first AAC POTW honor in his career.

The senior guard has been outstanding in a diverse new role for Wes Miller, leading UC in scoring (21.3 ppg, 36th nationally), three-point percentage (78%), assists (11), and steals (6).

He is shattering his career-high in true shooting (66.5%, prev. 53.1%) across this small sample size.

The veteran's play helped UC's versatile attack start the season averaging 84.7 points per game across three wins. DeJulius is on the ball less now and it's unlocking a higher efficiency through three games.

Landers Nolley and the expanded scoring talent allows DeJulius to pick his spots to great early success.

He'll look to keep it going against better competition on Wednesday as UC faces Northern Kentucky, its first opponent of the season ranked inside KenPom's top-200 (182).
