Pinging The Portal: UC Offers New Mexico Linebacker Dion Hunter

CINCINNATI — UC football has picked up a few wide receiver commitments from the transfer portal this cycle and just offered New Mexico linebacker, Dion Hunter.

The redshirt sophomore has three years of eligibility left after posting 69 tackles 1 pass breakup, 2 sacks, and 3 TFLs across nine games last season.

He struggled despite the strong raw numbers last season. Hunter posted a 56.5 overall PFF grade. That ranked 49th out of 80 Mountain West linebackers last season.

Hunter could be a rotational piece in the middle of Cincinnati's linebacker unit.
