UC Defensive End Justin Wodtly, Running Back Shaun Thomas Enter Transfer Portal

Cincinnati is preparing for some turnover this offseason.

CINCINNATI — UC football's depth along the front seven took a minor hit as Justin Wodtly entered the transfer portal on Monday. The defensive tackle was the latest UC player to announce along with running back Shaun Thomas.

Wodtly was solid in 2022, grading out at a 72 overall on PFF across 276 snaps as part of the defensive line rotation. This past season was more of a struggle as he battled injury early on.

He posted four tackles in 2023.

Thomas got some run when UC's RB depth took a hit against Oklahoma State and played 27 offensive snaps overall at Cincinnati.
