Cincinnati Offers Five-Star 2024 Center Somtochukwu Cyril
CINCINNATI — Cincinnati made a couple of recent offers in the 2024 class—one to a guard—and one to arguably the best high school shot-blocker in the country. Somtochukwu Cyril is UC's latest target out of Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (Tn.).
According to 247Sports, Cyril is a five-star center ranked 20th in the class of 2024. He is the third-ranked center nationally and a walking black hole on defense. Cincinnati is just the eighth school to offer him as they try to get in on the ground floor of his recruitment.
With a 247Sports composite ranking at 99.25, Cyril would be the second-highest ranked recruit in the 247Sports era behind Lance Stephenson in 2009.
