Mckinley averaged 17.2 points and 7.4 rebounds per game during the 2021-22 season at Walnut Hills in Cincinnati.
247Sports Composite has him ranked as the 60th player in the 2024 class. He is the site's 10th-ranked center and No. 2 player in Missouri.
“Wes Miller is a family coach," McKinley told On3's Joe Tipton. "I know this is a business, and it’s his job, but he has created one big family atmosphere in how he talks to his players. They were the first school to contact me on June 15, right at midnight. Coach Miller and Coach Dre (Andre Morgan).”
The 6-foot-9, 220-pound bruiser has a great feel around the rim and even better feet to utilize.
He can run the break as a freight-train-like ballhandler, and he has a solid back-to-the-basket game.
