Recruiting Roundup: Bearcats Offer Multiple Four-Star Offensive Talents, Including Caleb Odom, and Kamron Mikell

CINCINNATI — A flurry of UC football offers went out over the past week starting with three-star 2024 quarterback Whit Muschamp out of Baylor School (Tennessee).
Muschamp is not ranked on the major services but does hold a three-star rating from Rivals. He is the son of Georgia defensive coordinator and former Florida head coach Will Muschamp.
Scott Satterfield and Pete Thomas offered him at Louisville—now the UC duo makes up one of 12 total offers thus far.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Muschamp has a lot of room to grow into his body over the next few years, but the raw talent is noticeable. He has a slightly wonky, quick release that is well-timed to beat blitzes at the last second.
Muschamp is a gamer, willing to eat big hits for even bigger plays. He is not a super-threatening runner but can make plays in that facet of the game. It's clear from his highlights the deep ball is accessible, and he has nice touch at the intermediate level (post routes especially) in a spread offense.
Next on the offer list is 2024 four-star athlete Kamrom Mikell out of Statesboro (Georgia).

According to 247Sports, Mikell is the 286th-ranked player nationally and the 35th-ranked athlete. ESPN has him ranked 130th nationally and 13th among athletes.
Mikell holds 18 offers from schools like Florida, Georgia, and Florida State.
The dynamic athlete is a rare quarterback/cornerback two-way player at Statesboro. The 6-foot-2, 189-pound player is a nice dual-threat talent that can throw on the run with sound footwork and poise. Mikell cuts and moves like a shifty wide receiver in the open field. The zone read acumen is high, and he isn't afraid to fight for extra yards.
His lefty throwing motion needs some tuning, but you can't teach the way he sees the field as a runner. The tape at cornerback is tough to evaluate from the little I could find, but he tackled and pursued well in various clips.
UC offered another 2024 four-star pass catcher in tight end Caleb Odom out of Carrollton (Georgia). The school also offered him when Luke Fickell was still the head coach.

According to 247Sports, Odom is the 245th-ranked player nationally and the 13th-ranked tight end. ESPN has him ranked 277th nationally and 12th among tight ends.
He holds 15 offers from schools like Auburn, Duke, and Florida.
Odom is a monstrous target at 6-foot-6, 215 pounds. He plays wide receiver at Carrollton but will be a tight end at the next level with a college weight program behind him.
The athletic metrics are eye-popping with a 4.6 40-yard dash as a junior to pair with a 35-inch vertical leap. Top-250 prospects pop off the highlight screen and Odom is no different. He dominates corners with great leverage, and physicality at the catch point.
Just throw it up to Odom downfield, and he's likely to snag it. His yards-after-catch ability is elite as well. He had multiple TDs where defenders smacked off him before running 20-plus yards for the score.
He is a little raw as a route runner, but it doesn't matter at his playing level right now. Odom can block well in the open field as well, he had some of the most dominant tape I've watched from a UC recruit over the past year.
Next on the list is three-star wide receiver Braylon Staley out of Aiken (South Carolina).
According to 247Sports, Staley is the 48th-ranked wide receiver nationally and the fifth-best player in South Carolina.
He holds 15 offers from Coastal Carolina, Duke, and Boston College.
There was no available tape of Staley to evaluate.
The offers conclude with four-star 2024 running back Yasin Willis out of St. Joseph Regional (New Jersey).
Blessed to receive an offer from the University of Cincinnati❤️ #Bearcats @DeRailSims @CoachMarangi pic.twitter.com/NSylwsL0md
— Yasin Willis (@willisyasin6) January 4, 2023
According to 247Sports, Willis is the 315th-ranked player nationally and the 26th-rated running back. He holds 12 offers from schools like Ole Miss, Maryland, and Kentucky.
Willis only has freshman highlights available, but they are impressive physically for that age. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound back has clear home run ability on every tote.
He runs in one direction: downhill.
There is no messing around, when Willis gets the ball he is seeking a direct line to the end zone. Anyone in his way has to be ready for pain on the tackle or a full-on trucking. He had multiple touchdowns on tape carrying defenders across the goal line.
Willis is a fun, physical running back to watch who's only climbed in the rankings since the fall of 2021.
