UC Cornerback Arquon Bush Declares For 2023 NFL Draft

Cincinnati is losing a key staple of their secondary in recent years.

CINCINNATI — Longtime UC cornerback Arquon Bush is declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft.

A starter for the last three seasons, Bush flashed plenty of potential on film and had a nice goodbye to the UC fans.

"To the Fans," Bush wrote. "You guys showed up naturally. Sacrifices were made on your behalf to support all of us, good or bad. Your love, support, and kind words are something I will forever be in debt to and never forget. I pray I never let you guys down, for you have never let me or my teammates down. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Bush finished 2022 as an All-AAC honorable mention, posting 34 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 5 pass breakups. He ends his college career with 9 INTs and 22 pass breakups.

He also blocked 2 kicks in 2021. Bush is a big loss for the Cincinnati secondary, given he could've used another year of eligibility in 2023.

UC safety Ja'Von Hicks also declared for the draft this week.

It would not be surprising to see him test the waters and then return for his COVID-available season. He is not rated among the top 675 prospects on the consensus draft board.
