Recruiting Roundup: Highly-Ranked 2026 Guard Jayden Johnson Planning UC Visit

CINCINNATI — Some more recruiting news has popped up on the gridiron and hardwood starting with an offer to three-star 2025 quarterback Scotty Fox out of Mentor (Ohio).

According to 247Sports, Fox is the 33rd-best quarterback nationally and the 16th-best player in Ohio.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound passer has 12 other offers from schools like Kentucky and Indiana.

On the hardwood, UC has a visit set up with highly sought-after 2026 shooting guard Jayden Johnson.

He is hovering around top-25 status on national rankings and got a UC offer last July.

“Cincy is in a great position being in the Big 12, players get to be more in the spotlight and they are Jordan brand now, so looks like a lot is changing in a positive direction," Johnson told Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers.

Weingarten confirmed Johnson's scheduled visits with Indiana, Xavier, Cincinnati, West Virginia, and Texas A&M—in that order.

We close this Recruiting Roundup with a local basketball offer to 2027 Lakota West (Ohio) product Bryce Curry.

Buckeye Prep Report has Curry ranked second in Ohio among 2027 talents.

The 6-foot-3 combo guard should be a big-time target in 2027 after already garnering offers from Texas A&M, Cincinnati, and Illinois.
