CINCINNATI — The Bearcats football team added their second 2024 defensive line commitment on Tuesday in three-star Devyn Zahursky out of Midpark (Ohio).

According to 247Sports, he is the 127th-ranked defensive lineman nationally and the 48th-best player in Ohio. He also plays tight end at a high level.

He chose Cincinnati over schools like Pittsburgh and Akron (15 offers).

The 6-foot-4, 240-pound defensive lineman can play at a few different spots along the line. He has nice bull rush power and strong awareness of when to get his hands up in passing lanes.

He primarily rushes from the outside with both hands on the ground.

It's hard to tell if he has a wider pass-rush skill set, but that interior rushing dart action and instant penetration are working very well for him. Zahursky sometimes gets caught up with outside tries as an edge defender, but he is still a TFL monster.

As a tight end, Zahursky can line up on the line or in the slot as a seam weapon. He bounces off arm tackles with ease using his solid frame.

He can dominate in the open field and does a nice job creating space on angle routes. Drags, straight seam routes, corners, slants, Zahursky can execute them all. As a blocker, he seals the edge at a competent level and can probably grow the most on that front. The junior can get a little upright with that part of his game, but it's not a liability.
