UC Offers Rising Four-Star 2024 Shooting Guard Larry Johnson

Cincinnati just got the ball rolling on this class with a center commitment.

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats added its first 2024 commitment in Tyler Mckinley on Thursday and also offered another four-star talent. Southern California Academy (California) guard Larry Johnson is on UC's radar.

Johnson smashed onto the scene this week by averaging nearly 23 points at the Pangos All-American Camp (22.6 PPG, 3.2 RPG, 2.2 APG, 1.2 SPG).

According to 247Sports, Johnson is the 86th-ranked player in the nation and the 18th-best shooting guard. He's listed with eight offers after the latest from UC.

Bounce it.

Johnson brings plenty of athleticism to the two-guard spot as an aggressive downhill player. He has a point-guard-like handle and a nice package of at-rim finishes to cap his drives. In transition, Johnson stays patient and made plenty of nice plays whether it was a dish or fake to create paths for a slam.

He boasts a deadly jump shot (53% from deep at Pangos) that can stretch the floor from the outside. Johnson's a timely defender with nice hands to create steals. 

Johnson could continue to rise during the spring circuit with this kind of talent package.
